Advertising for a permanent Deputy Manager at TVP! Following a covering period of Maternity leave, we at TVP now require a permanent, enthusiastic and committed Deputy Pre School Manager with a minimum qualification of NVQ level 3 and experience of working at a Pre-School setting. Experience as an assistant/deputy manager would be desirable. You will be responsible for helping to provide a stimulating and varied programme of play and for helping to ensure the safety and well-being of the children. Autumn Fair
This Sunday, the 12th November, the Autumn fair will be taking place in Calstock village hall from 11-3pm. Come along to shop for some beautiful local crafts and quality shopping, children's craft and face painting, excellent raffle and homemade soups and cakes for lunch. All in aid of raising funds for the preschool. |
Manager Vacancy
Tamar Valley Pre-school Manager We are looking for a warm, friendly, enthusiastic and creative person to manage our pre-school. Children are at the heart of our community in Calstock, so we want our children to have fun, to be encouraged in their imagination and curiosity, and to feel safe in their pre-school environment. We aim to raise resilient, confident, independent and creative learners and are looking for a special manager to share and support our children in their learning adventure. We are a small ‘pack-away’ pre-school based in the local village hall in Calstock. Tamar Valley pre-school is a non-profit organisation managed by a voluntary committee. We are ideally looking for someone with a minimum of the NVQ 3 in Childcare (or equivalent) and at least 2 years experience in a pre-school or nursery setting. You will have good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework (EYFS), Ofsted regulations and child development. Your role will be varied and will include managing a small team of 2 staff, facilitating the day to day running of the preschool and being involved in marketing and fundraising for Tamar Valley pre-school. We are also keen to start a Forest School this year and would be particularly interested to hear from people who either have a Forest School qualification or who are interested in obtaining their Forest School Leadership Certificate. In return we are offering: • 27 hours a week term time (but this may increase as we are looking to expand our provision.) • Preschool days are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. • £9 to £10 per hour depending on experience. • Workplace Pension.
